M+E Design and Installation for a Community Diagnostic Centre

The project involved the part refurbishment of Eccleshill Hospital to create a new state-of-the-art Community Diagnostic Centre, equipped with the latest MRI, X-Ray, CT and Ultrasound scanning technology to enable a range of tests to be carried out.

The project includes the full design and installation of mechanical and electrical services, utilising the sites existing infra-structure where possible and upgrading major components as necessary.

Dedicated 160A electrical supplies for the scanners were taken from the existing switchgear, which required upgrading to accommodate the additional load. Lighting is provided by energy efficient LED fittings, with dimming to Consulting Rooms, alongside specialist Examination Lamps.

A new Air Handling Unit serves the Scanning rooms fresh air requirements, which compliments the VRF System & LTHW heating to the Offices, Consulting Rooms and Ancillary areas.

Domestic Water Services and Public Health installations provide new facilities to the areas, along with Mechanical ventilation to suit.

Medical Gas services provided Oxygen to the Scanning Rooms and Recovery Bays, complete with a new dedicated AVS Unit.
