Turnkey Mechanical Services for a Distribution Centre in South Yorkshire

Following on from successful works with our longstanding client, we were approached to design, supply, install and commission the mechanical services at the new flagship 900,000ft² distribution centre. Watsons Building Services Ltd carried out both the ‘base build’ and the ‘fit out’ contracts directly for the client as their preferred contractor. The wide range of designed and installed mechanical services included heating, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic hot and cold water, and renewables such as solar pv and rainwater harvesting.

As part of the delivery, we implemented a fully integrated Building Management System (BMS), providing centralised and remote control of HVAC systems across multiple floors and operational zones. This eliminated the need to manage separate systems individually, giving the client complete estate-wide visibility from a single platform. We also designed, installed and commissioned an energy monitoring solution, including an upgraded BEMS, to assist them in identifying ways to reduce their energy usage.
